The English translations weren't out at the time I read the manga, but I kept up with them. If it weren't for them, I would have probably read it a lot quicker, but I estimate that it took me a few months?

Hm. When I first discovered Furuba, the US only had volumes 1-5. =[ That was in my senior year -- I remember sitting in class on a rainy day when a friend of mine rushed in, shoved volume one under my nose, going "OH MY GAWD YOU HAVE TO READ THIS MANGA." I did, and I got hooked. >.< I spent the next class period hiding it under my desk. I went through the first five volumes like there was no tomorrow. There was a Borders bookstore maybe about five minutes walking from my house at the time, so I just went there the same weekend and did the hobo otaku routine.
I kept up with the slowwwwww progress of the series for a year, until I went to college -- then I had more internet time and discovered that people actually did fan translations of manga, and poof. Done. I caught up all the crap I missed, and finished it as they finished in Japan.
So it took me a little over a year. =3

Quite frankly, I don't really remember. I would estimate a couple of months to a year, just because what I do remember was that all the volumes weren't out yet and waiting for the english scanlations online took forever and a day so it was really hard to finish reading it without pauses and breaks in between. Not to mention the slowness that is my internet and computer. But, if I had all the volumes with me and decided to read it again, it would take me only a few days - like my life depended on it. =D
